Russia-China Fertilizer Plant To Be Constructed In Saratov Region - Authorities

A Russian-Chinese fertilizer plant with a total investment of $1.4 billion will be constructed in Russia's Saratov Region, the region's administration told Sputnik on Wednesday.
MOSCOW (UrduPoint News / Sputnik - 15th August, 2018) A Russian-Chinese fertilizer plant with a total investment of $1.4 billion will be constructed in Russia's Saratov Region, the region's administration told Sputnik on Wednesday.
"The total investment in the project will amount to $1.4 billion," the regional administration said.
According to the region's press service, the agreement on the Russian-Chinese plant construction was signed by the Saratov authorities, Russia's Plantex scientific and production enterprise and China's Wuhuan company.
Russia's Gorny special purpose company, established by Plantex for the implementation of the fertilizer plant project, said in a press release that the joint venture would manufacture nitrogen fertilizers in the quantities of 1.5 million tonnes per year.
The project is expected to reach the planned production capacity by the end of 2024.
