Russia, China May Set More Ambitious Goals for Bilateral Cooperation - Putin

The current level of Russian-Chinese relations allows Moscow and Beijing to set more ambitious goals in the bilateral cooperation, Russian President Vladimir Putin said on Tuesday at a meeting with Chinese Vice Premier Han Zheng.

MOSCOW (UrduPoint News / Sputnik - 18th September, 2018) The current level of Russian-Chinese relations allows Moscow and Beijing to set more ambitious goals in the bilateral cooperation, Russian President Vladimir Putin said on Tuesday at a meeting with Chinese Vice Premier Han Zheng.

"The accumulated experience allows us to reach new frontiers, set more ambitious, significant goals," Putin said.

The Russian leader pointed out that Moscow and Beijing maintained intensive dialogue at all levels.

"I am sure that we will reach new achievements and successes," Putin said.

Han noted that his visit to Russia was aimed at implementation of the agreements that had been earlier reached by Putin and Chinese President Xi Jinping.

"After the end of the Eastern Economic Forum, President Xi Jinping ordered me to implement the agreements achieved by you," the Chinese official said.

Han added that he had met with the heads of Russian energy giants of Gazprom and Rosneft as well as took part in the sessions of intergovernmental commissions on energy and investments.
