Russia, China Sign Over 20 Agreements After Putin-Xi Talks In Moscow

MOSCOW (UrduPoint News / Sputnik - 06th June, 2019) Russia and China signed a total of 23 agreements in economy, investment and education sectors following talks between the Russian and Chinese presidents, Vladimir Putin and Xi Jinping in Moscow on Wednesday.
The St. Petersburg University and Tsinghua University signed a cooperation agreement, while Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin and Zhang Jianlong, the administrator of China's National Forestry and Grassland Administration, inked a memorandum of understanding on cooperation.
In addition, the heads of Russia's Federal Air Transport Agency and the Civil Aviation Administration of China adopted procedures for implementing a 2001 intergovernmental agreement on flight safety.
After the talks, Moscow and Beijing signed a memorandum of understanding on promoting bilateral trade as well as protocols on phytosanitary requirements with regard to certain types of crop products exported from Russia to China.
Finally, Russia's Deputy Prime Minister Anton Siluanov and Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi signed an intergovernmental agreement on payments.
