PRAGUE (UrduPoint News / Sputnik - 18th September, 2018) A regular meeting of the Russian-Czech Intergovernmental Commission for Economic, Industrial and Scientific Cooperation will be held in the Czech capital of Prague in November, Sergei Stupar, head of the Russian Trade Mission in the Czech Republic, told Sputnik on Tuesday.
"A regular meeting of the Russian-Czech Intergovernmental Commission for Economic, Industrial and Scientific Cooperation is set to be held in Prague in November 2018, the exact date of the meeting will be defined in the near future," Stupar said.
The previous meeting of the commission was held in the Russian capital of Moscow in April 2017. Stupar noted that the industrial cooperation between the two countries had significantly enhanced since then.
According to the Russian official, dialogue between the leaders of the two countries contributed to this. Stupar recalled that when Czech President Milos Zeman held talks with Russian leader Vladimir Putin in the Russian resort city of Sochi in November, a large delegation of Czech businesspeople accompanied him. During the visit, the two sides signed multiple contracts.
The Russian-Czech Intergovernmental Commission for Economic, Industrial and Scientific Cooperation was established in 2005 in order to strengthen economic, industrial and scientific ties between the two countries.
