MOSCOW (UrduPoint News / Sputnik - 20th May, 2019) Russia hopes that the discussion of the exchange of prisoners with Ukraine will continue, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov told reporters Monday.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskiy said at his inauguration earlier in the day he was ready for a dialogue to resolve the conflict in Donbas, but the first step towards its beginning would be the return of held persons.
"You know that this issue has been actively discussed: actively within the existing channels for dialogue, within the existing mechanism, the contact group, and so on. Therefore, we hope that these discussions will continue... At the same time, there were certain problems... with the definition of who exactly we were talking about," Peskov said when asked if Russia was ready for such a prisoner swap.
