Russia-India Joint Production Of Ka-226 Choppers For Delhi To Start By Year End - Rostec

Russian-Indian joint production of Ka-226 helicopters that are contracted by Delhi will start by the end of this year, Viktor Kladov, the head of the delegation of Russian state corporation Rostec at the Zhuhai airshow, told Sputnik.
ZHUHAI (UrduPoint News / Sputnik - 06th November, 2018) The Russian-Indian joint production of Ka-226 helicopters that are contracted by Delhi will start by the end of this year, Viktor Kladov, the head of the delegation of Russian state corporation Rostec at the Zhuhai airshow, told Sputnik.
"By the end of the year," the official said answering the question on when the production will be launched.
The Indian side has 50.5 percent of the shares in the joint venture, while Russia has the remaining 49.5 percent.
Under the contract, 140 choppers are planned to be made in India and another 60 in Russia.
