Russia Introduces UN Security Council Resolution On Venezuela - Mission To UN

UNITED NATIONS (UrduPoint News / Sputnik - 28th February, 2019) Russia has introduced its draft resolution on Venezuela at the UN Security Council, Russian Permanent Mission to the United Nations Press Secretary Fedor Strzhizhovskiy told Sputnik.
"A Russian draft resolution on Venezuela was introduced," Strzhizhovskiy said on Wednesday.
The vote on the draft resolution, which calls for respecting Venezuela's sovereignty and territorial integrity, might take place on Thursday afternoon.
On Wednesday, the United States requested the Security Council to hold a meeting to vote on their resolution calling for new presidential elections in Venezuela, as well as the unhindered delivery of humanitarian aid to the Latin American county.
