Russia, Japan Can Resolve Any Problems If Trust Boosted, Politicization Avoided - Morgulov

TOKYO (UrduPoint News / Sputnik - 22nd April, 2019) Russia and Japan will be able to resolve any difficulties in their bilateral relations if they manage to boost mutual trust and prevent politicization of existing problems, Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Igor Morgulov said on Monday in Tokyo.

Morgulov took part in the fifth round of the Russian-Japanese consultations on joint economic activity on the disputed Kuril Islands.

"We certainly face challenging goals, but if we keep in mind the priorities that have been set at the highest level � I mean, expanding multifaceted practical cooperation and strengthening trust in order to take our relations to a completely new level � if we prevent politicization of certain issues, and if we fully take into account the existing realities, then I am sure that we will be able to resolve any challenging issues and achieve practical results," Morgulov said.
