Russia, Japan to Discuss Korean Crisis in '2+2' Ministerial Format in Tokyo

The situation around North Korea and issues on the current military-political agenda will be discussed during Russia-Japan talks in "2+2" ministerial format in Tokyo on May 30-31, Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova said Thursday

MOSCOW (UrduPoint News / Sputnik - 23rd May, 2019) The situation around North Korea and issues on the current military-political agenda will be discussed during Russia-Japan talks in "2+2" ministerial format in Tokyo on May 30-31, Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova said Thursday.

"At the "2+2" meeting, the [foreign and defense] ministers will discuss topical issues on the global, regional agenda in the military-political sphere, including the development of the situation around the Korean peninsula, in Syria, non-proliferation issues, arms control, as well as bilateral interaction in the fight against new challenges and threats," Zakharova said at a weekly briefing.
