Russia Ready To Raise Supplies Of Agricultural Products To Austria - Minister

Russia is ready to increase supplies of agricultural products to Austria and develop bilateral cooperation in this sphere, Russian Agricultural Minister Dmitry Patrushev said on Friday at the meeting with Austrian Minister of Sustainability and Tourism Elisabeth Koestinger

BERLIN (UrduPoint News / Sputnik - 18th January, 2019) Russia is ready to increase supplies of agricultural products to Austria and develop bilateral cooperation in this sphere, Russian Agricultural Minister Dmitry Patrushev said on Friday at the meeting with Austrian Minister of Sustainability and Tourism Elisabeth Koestinger.

"The Russian side counts on the increasingly dynamic and productive agricultural cooperation and is ready to increase supplies of agricultural goods to the Austrian market," Patrushev said at the meeting held on the sidelines of the international exhibition of food products and agriculture Green Week.

The minister pointed out that the joint work on cattle breeding was also a promising sphere of bilateral cooperation.

"Today the volumes of cattle breeding supplies from Austria to Russia are insignificant and our country is interested in their increase," Patrushev added.

The Russian-Austrian agricultural trade increased in 2018 by 6.5 percent up to $166 million.
