Russia Recorded No Ceasefire Violations In Syria Over Past 24 Hours - Russian Military

The Russian side of the Russian-Turkish commission monitoring the implementation of the Syrian ceasefire has not recorded any truce breaches in the country over the past 24 hours, while the Turkish side has recorded 10 violations, the Russian Defense Ministry's Centre for Reconciliation of Opposing Sides said on Wednesday
MOSCOW (UrduPoint News / Sputnik - 16th January, 2019) The Russian side of the Russian-Turkish commission monitoring the implementation of the Syrian ceasefire has not recorded any truce breaches in the country over the past 24 hours, while the Turkish side has recorded 10 violations, the Russian Defense Ministry's Centre for Reconciliation of Opposing Sides said on Wednesday.
"Over the last 24 hours, the Russian party of the Russia-Turkey Commission on violations of the Joint Agreement hasn't registered any cases of firing. The Turkish side has registered 10 cases of ceasefire violations in the provinces of Hama - 5, Latakia - 3, Idlib - 2," the center's daily bulletin read.
The Russian center for Syrian reconciliation has also held one humanitarian operation in the Daraa province, delivering 500 food sets with a total weight of 2.165 tonnes there.
The number of areas that signed reconciliation agreements has remained the same and currently amounts to 2,518. The number of armed formations claiming that they observe the ceasefire stands at 234, the bulletin added.
Russia, alongside Iran and Turkey, is a guarantor of the ceasefire in Syria. Moscow has also been assisting Damascus both through supporting the struggle against terrorist groups operating in the country and providing humanitarian aid to civilians.
