Russia Records 12 Ceasefire Violations In Syria Over Past 24 Hours - Reconciliation Center

MOSCOW (UrduPoint News / Sputnik - 17th March, 2019) The Russian side of the Russian-Turkish commission monitoring the implementation of the Syrian ceasefire registered 12 truce breaches in the country over the past 24 hours, while the Turkish side recorded 18 ceasefire violations, the Russian Defense Ministry's Center for Reconciliation of Opposing Sides in Syria said on Sunday.
"Over the last 24 hours, the Russian party of the Russia-Turkey Commission on violations of the Joint Agreement has registered 12 cases of firing in the provinces of Aleppo (3), Idlib (4), Latakia (2) and Hama (3). The Turkish side has registered 18 cases of ceasefire violations in the provinces of Aleppo (3), Idlib (4), Latakia (1) and Hama (10)," the center said in a bulletin.
Over the given period, the Reconciliation Center did not carry out any humanitarian actions in the country.
Moscow, which has actively assisted Damascus throughout the civil war, currently helps Syrian authorities with the postwar reconstruction of the country and the�repatriation of refugees. Among other things, the Russian military has assisted Syrian engineering units in their mine clearance efforts and has delivered tonnes of food to local residents as part of its humanitarian efforts.
