The Russian side of the Russian-Turkish commission monitoring the implementation of the Syrian ceasefire has registered 18 ceasefire violations in the country over the past 24 hours, while the Turkish side has recorded 27 truce breaches, the Russian Defense Ministry's Center for Reconciliation of Opposing Sides in Syria said on Friday
"[Over the last 24 hours], the Russian party of the Russia-Turkey Commission on violations of the Joint Agreement has registered 18 cases of firing in the provinces of Hama (8), Latakia (6), Aleppo (1) and Idlib (3). The Turkish side has registered 27 cases of firing in the provinces of Hama (9), Idlib (1), Latakia (3), Aleppo (14)," the center said in its daily bulletin.
The ministry also noted that within the past 24 hours, no new ceasefire agreements were signed. The total number of settlements that have signed the agreement remains 2,518 and the total number of armed formations that have declared their commitment to observe the ceasefire remains 234.
Russia and Turkey, alongside Iran, are guarantors of the ceasefire in Syria. Moscow has also been assisting Damascus both through supporting the struggle against terrorist groups operating in the country and providing humanitarian aid to civilians.
