Russia Registers 2 Ceasefire Breaches In Syria Over Past 24 Hours - Defense Ministry

The Russian side of the Russian-Turkish commission monitoring the implementation of the Syrian ceasefire has registered two truce breaches in the country over the past 24 hours, while the Turkish side has recorded 25 ceasefire violations, the Russian Defense Ministry said on Tuesday
MOSCOW (UrduPoint News / Sputnik - 23rd April, 2019) The Russian side of the Russian-Turkish commission monitoring the implementation of the Syrian ceasefire has registered two truce breaches in the country over the past 24 hours, while the Turkish side has recorded 25 ceasefire violations, the Russian Defense Ministry said on Tuesday.
"The Russian party of the Russia-Turkey Commission on violations of the Joint Agreement has registered two cases of firing in the province of Latakia. The Turkish side has registered 25 cases of ceasefire violations in the provinces of Aleppo (21), Idlib (3) and Hama (1)," the ministry said in its daily bulletin.
The ministry added that no ceasefire agreements had been signed over the given period.
Russia, alongside Turkey and Iran, is a guarantor of the ceasefire regime in Syria. Moscow has also been assisting Damascus through supporting the struggle against terrorist groups, providing humanitarian aid to local residents and facilitating the return of refugees.
