Russia Registers 4 Ceasefire Violations in Syria Over Past 24 Hours - Defense Ministry

The Russian side of the Russian-Turkish commission monitoring the implementation of the Syrian ceasefire has registered four truce breaches over the past 24 hours, while the Turkish side has not registered any ceasefire violations, the Russian Defense Ministry said on Wednesday.

MOSCOW (UrduPoint News / Sputnik - 14th November, 2018) The Russian side of the Russian-Turkish commission monitoring the implementation of the Syrian ceasefire has registered four truce breaches over the past 24 hours, while the Turkish side has not registered any ceasefire violations, the Russian Defense Ministry said on Wednesday.

"Over the last 24 hours, the Russian party of the Russia-Turkey Commission on violations of the Joint Agreement has registered four cases of firing in the province of Aleppo. The Turkish side has registered no cases of ceasefire violation," the ministry's center for Syrian reconciliation said in its daily bulletin.

According to the center, a humanitarian mission has been carried out by the Russian servicemen over the past 24 hours.

"Over the last 24 hours the Russian Centre for Reconciliation of Opposing Sides has held one humanitarian action in Rayan, Aleppo province. People received 450 food sets with a total weight of 1.95 tonnes," the bulletin read.

The number of areas, which signed reconciliation agreements, has remained unchanged, standing at 2,518, the bulletin said. The number of armed formations claiming that they observe the ceasefire has not changed either.

Russia, Turkey and Iran are the guarantors of the ceasefire regime in Syria, while Moscow is also supporting the government forces' fight against terrorist groups and providing humanitarian aid to civilians.
