Russia supports ongoing contacts between the Kurds and the Syrian authorities, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov said Wednesday
MOSCOW (UrduPoint News / Sputnik - 16th January, 2019) Russia supports ongoing contacts between the Kurds and the Syrian authorities, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov said Wednesday.
Lavrov said armaments, territories and military facilities that belong to the United States in Syria should be put under "the control of the Syrian government, the Syrian Armed Forces and the Syrian administrative structures, with the understanding that the Kurds should be provided with all necessary conditions.
"
"We welcome and support contacts that have now begun between Kurdish representatives and the Syrian authorities in order to agree on how to restore life in a single state without external interference," he said at a press conference.
