Russia Supports Steps To Settle N.Korea's Nuclear Program Issue - Kremlin

The Kremlin welcomes the signing by the leaders of North and South Korea of a military agreement and considers it an effective step towards the settlement of the Korean problem, Russian presidential spokesman Dmitry Peskov told reporters Wednesday.

The inter-Korean summit was held on Tuesday and Wednesday in Pyongyang.
The two leaders signed a joint statement, and the two defense ministers signed a military agreement. The South Korean presidential spokesperson said in Seoul on Wednesday that in fact the North and South Korean leaders proclaimed the end of the state of war.
"It's good news, of course, we support such effective steps towards the settlement of the Korean problem," Peskov said, responding to a request to comment on the signing of the agreement.
