Russia will accept an official invitation for President Vladimir Putin's meeting with his US counterpart, Donald Trump, who suggested as much at the upcoming G20 summit in Japan, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov said after talks with US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo

MOSCOW (UrduPoint News / Sputnik - 14th May, 2019) Russia will accept an official invitation for President Vladimir Putin's meeting with his US counterpart, Donald Trump, who suggested as much at the upcoming G20 summit in Japan, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov said after talks with US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo.

"We heard statements by president Trump that he expects to hold a meeting with President Putin, including during the G20 Summit in Osaka. If we receive an official invitation we will respond positively. We talked about that today with Mike Pompeo," he told reporters in Sochi, Russia.
