Russia To Be Vietnam's Priority Nuclear Energy Partner If Hanoi Develops Sphere - Kremlin

Russian President Vladimir Putin and General Secretary of the Communist Party of Vietnam Nguyen Phu Trong have agreed that if Hanoi decided to develop the nuclear energy sphere, Moscow would be considered as a priority partner, the Kremlin said in a statement on Saturday.
MOSCOW (UrduPoint News / Sputnik - 08th September, 2018) Russian President Vladimir Putin and General Secretary of the Communist Party of Vietnam Nguyen Phu Trong have agreed that if Hanoi decided to develop the nuclear energy sphere, Moscow would be considered as a priority partner, the Kremlin said in a statement on Saturday.
"The sides have agreed that in case of Vietnam's return to its plans on national nuclear energy creation, Russia will be regarded as a priority partner in the above-noted sphere," the statement read.
The Kremlin added that the Putin-Trong talks, which were held in the Russian resort city of Sochi on Thursday, resulted in the conclusion of a memorandum on cooperation on supplying liquefied natural gas and developing electricity generation from gas.
