Russia to Export $500Mln Worth of Mostly Farming Products to China

The Russian Export Center, a state institution promoting trade in non-raw materials, said Tuesday it had agreed a sale of $500 million worth of mostly farming products to China over the next two years.

MOSCOW (UrduPoint News / Sputnik - 06th November, 2018) The Russian Export Center, a state institution promoting trade in non-raw materials, said Tuesday it had agreed a sale of $500 million worth of mostly farming products to China over the next two years.

"The REC has signed a batch of trilateral agreements to sell Russian produce to the Sichuan, Hubei and Gansu provinces in China. These are mostly agricultural products," it said in a statement.

The center is working in partnership with SKYMAX, a trade agent it set up together with Russia's Agriculture Ministry. The mediator, which runs a booth showcasing Russian farming exports in Shanghai, co-signed three of the agreements, the REC said.

On the Chinese side, the deals were inked by Chengdu-Europe Investment and Development Company in Sichuan, a commerce authority in the city of Wuhan in Hubei, and Lanzhou International Land Port Investment and Development Company in Lanzhou, the main Gansu city.
