KUBINKA (Russia) (UrduPoint news / Sputnik - 23rd January, 2019) Russia will submit the information on the 9M729 missile voluntarily in the interests of transparency, Russian Missile Troops and Artillery commander Gen. Mikhail Matveyevsky said Wednesday.

"Today, in the interests of transparency, we will voluntarily submit the information about the 9M729 cruise missile, which, according to the United States is linked to the breaches of the Intermediate-Range Nuclear Forces [INF] Treaty," Matveyevsky told reporters.

Matveyevsky added that the missile was an upgraded version of the cruise missile 9M728, which is part of Iskander-M missile system. The upgrade was meant to increase the missile's capabilities and precision.
