Russia Vote "casts Dark Shadow" Over Anti-doping - WADA Vice-president

Paris, Sept 20 (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 21st Sep, 2018 ) :The decision on Thursday to lift the ban on Russia's anti-doping agency "casts a dark shadow over the credibility of the anti-doping movement," wrote Linda Helleland, a vice-president of World Anti-Doping Agency, in a statement.
"I am disappointed on behalf of clean athletes and everyone who believes in clean sport," wrote Helleland, a Norwegian, who was one of only two WADA Executive Committee members to vote against.
"Today we made the wrong decision in protecting the integrity of sport and to maintain public trust."
