CAIRO (UrduPoint News / Sputnik - 17th April, 2019) Russian aviation security experts, who are conducting security inspections at the airports of the Egyptian resort cities of Hurghada and Sharm El-Sheikh, will complete their work on Saturday, a source in the Egyptian aviation sector told Sputnik.
"A delegation of Russian experts moves between the cities of Hurghada and Sharm El-Sheikh. They will finish work on Saturday," the source said.
Earlier in the week, a spokeswoman for the Russian Federal Air Transport Agency (Rosaviatsiya) told Sputnik that Russian experts had started security inspections at the airports of the Egyptian resort cities.
A source in the Egyptian airport management company told Sputnik that Russian inspectors were checking what was done by the Egyptian aviation authorities to eliminate the shortcomings identified during the previous security check.
Russia suspended civilian air traffic to Egypt in November 2015 after a bomb brought down a Russian plane en route from Sharm El-Sheikh to St. Petersburg, killing all 224 people on board. Regular flights between the Russian and the Egyptian capitals were resumed in April 2018 after the Egyptian authorities made the desired improvements to security.
