Russian Coast Guard Boosts Presence in Kerch-Yenikale Area Over Ukraine Provocation - Federal Security Service's (FSB)

The Russian coast guard had to increase the number of vessels stationed in the area of the Kerch-Yenikale Canal in response to the recent Ukrainian provocation in the Kerch Strait, Alexei Volsky, the first deputy head of the Russian Federal Security Service's (FSB) coast guard department, said on Saturday.

MOSCOW (UrduPoint News / Sputnik - 08th December, 2018) :The Russian coast guard had to increase the number of vessels stationed in the area of the Kerch-Yenikale Canal in response to the recent Ukrainian provocation in the Kerch Strait, Alexei Volsky, the first deputy head of the Russian Federal Security Service's (FSB) coast guard department, said on Saturday.

"The coast guard of the Russian FSB had to respond to [Ukraine's provocation] by increasing the number of ships and boats stationed in the area of the Kerch-Yenikale Canal as well as inspecting more thoroughly the vessels that were passing through the canal," Volsky said at a briefing at Rossiya Segodnya International Information Agency.
