Russian cosmonauts Sergey Prokopyev and Oleg Kononenko, who is expected to fly to the International Space Station (ISS) on December 3, may perform a spacewalk to examine the hole in the Souyz MS-09 spacecraft on December 10-11, a space industry source told Sputnik.

MOSCOW (UrduPoint News / Sputnik - 22nd October, 2018) Russian cosmonauts Sergey Prokopyev and Oleg Kononenko, who is expected to fly to the International Space Station (ISS) on December 3, may perform a spacewalk to examine the hole in the Souyz MS-09 spacecraft on December 10-11, a space industry source told Sputnik.

"The spacewalk is tentatively scheduled for December 10-11. The exact date will become clear after the state commission's decision to resume launches of the Soyuz-FG rockets, which will determine the date of the manned flight. After arriving at the station the cosmonaut will need nearly a week to adapt to space conditions before he will be able to work in outer space without any problems," the source said.
