The Russian Defense Ministry has sent invitations to attend the next Moscow Conference on International Security to the heads of 101 national armies and eight international organizations, Russian Deputy Defense Minister Col. Gen. Alexander Fomin said Friday.
"Next year, the eighth regular conference will take place. The invitations were sent to the heads of national armies of 101 countries and to the heads of eight international organizations," Fomin said during a meeting with military attaches while discussing the Defense Ministry's yearly events summary.
According to Fomin, the upcoming conference will provide more platforms for dialogue for the delegates and increase the range of issues that have already been discussed.
The deputy minister said that the traditional forms of plenary and discussion sessions would be accompanied by roundtable discussions, where security experts will be able to share their opinions on contemporary threats.
The Seventh Moscow Conference on International Security was held on April 4 and hosted more than 850 delegates from 95 countries, including foreign defense ministers and heads of international organizations.
