Russian Defense Ministry Invites NATO Leadership to Moscow Security Conference in April

The Russian Defense Ministry invited NATO's military and political leadership to attend the upcoming VIII Moscow Conference on International Security due April 23-25, Deputy Defense Minister Col. Gen. Alexander Fomin said at a briefing for military attaches Thursday

MOSCOW (UrduPoint News / Sputnik - 21st March, 2019) The Russian Defense Ministry invited NATO's military and political leadership to attend the upcoming VIII Moscow Conference on International Security due April 23-25, Deputy Defense Minister Col. Gen. Alexander Fomin said at a briefing for military attaches Thursday.

"This year, we invited the heads of 124 states' military departments to take part in the conference, including NATO member countries and the European Union, as well as NATO's military and political leadership," Fomin said.

He said the conference would discuss space militarization, cyberthreats, Arctic issues, the situation in Libya, African refugees' migration to Europe, terrorist threats, the situation in Syria and Iraq, as well as arms control.
