Russian Deputy Prime Minister Borisov May Visit Syria Soon, Plans Talks With Assad -Moscow

Russian Deputy Prime Minister Yury Borisov may hold a visit to Syria in the near future, and he is planning to hold a meeting with Syrian President Bashar Assad during the visit, Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Mikhail Bogdanov told Sputnik on Thursday.

"The visit of Borisov, the co-chair of the [Russian-Syrian] intergovernmental commission, to Damascus is planned for the near future. And I hope that he will hold a meeting with [Syrian] president there. The visit is being planned. I hope to go with him [Borisov], and then, perhaps, we will see both President Bashar Assad and Foreign Minister [Walid] Muallem," Bogdanov said.
