Russian Foreign Minister Lavrov Awarded With Order Of Republika Srpska

BANJA LUKA (Bosnia and Herzegovina) (UrduPoint news / Sputnik - 21st September, 2018) ANJA LUKA (BANJA LUKA (Bosnia and Herzegovina) (Pakistan Point News / Sputnik - 21st September, 2018) osnia and Herzegovina), September 21 (Sputnik) - Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov was awarded on Friday with an order of Republika Srpska, a Sputnik correspondent reported.
The ceremony took place during the minister's visit to Bosnia and Herzegovina.
The award was given to Lavrov over his "outstanding contribution to strengthening friendly relations between Russia and Republika Srpska."
Republika Srpska is one of the two autonomous entities of Bosnia and Herzegovina, while the other is the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina. Their relations are largely affected by the civil war among Serbs, Bosnian Muslims and Croatians in 1992-1995.
Russians and Serbians are two peoples that have had friendly relations for several hundreds of years.
