The Russian Foreign Ministry is ready to support business organizations willing to work in Africa, Andrei Kemarsky, the director of the ministry's Department of Africa, said on Monday, adding that multiple medium-size and small companies were facing problems on the African market as they could not organize their work properly without receiving due support.
MOSCOW (UrduPoint News / Sputnik - 22nd October, 2018) The Russian Foreign Ministry is ready to support business organizations willing to work in Africa, Andrei Kemarsky, the director of the ministry's Department of Africa, said on Monday, adding that multiple medium-size and small companies were facing problems on the African market as they could not organize their work properly without receiving due support.
"This is why there is an opportunity here for the Russian non-commercial organizations, non-governmental organizations that become more and more multiple and that want to work in Africa to come into the arena ... It is necessary to think how we can organize such a cooperation, involving state structures and companies, among others, and how we can engage our non-governmental organizations into this work," Kemarsky said at the Russian-African Social Forum (RASF), which started in Moscow earlier in the day.
Kemarsky cited the RASF, organized by the Russian Foreign Ministry, the Global Alumni Alliance and the African Business Initiative, as an example of such cooperation.
"We have good prospects and good opportunities, and the Russian Foreign Ministry is ready to provide all kinds of support to Russian organizations here," Kemarsky said.
While the first edition of the RASF is currently underway, the forum is set to be held annually in order to boost cultural, educational and social cooperation between Russia and Africa.
