The Russian State Duma took Thursday the decision not to sent a parliamentary delegation to the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE) and not to pay contributions to the Council of Europe

MOSCOW (UrduPoint News / Sputnik - 17th January, 2019) The Russian State Duma took Thursday the decision not to sent a parliamentary delegation to the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE) and not to pay contributions to the Council of Europe.

"Under current circumstances, the State Duma sees no grounds for the Russian delegation to return to the PACE and for Russia to pay contributions to the budget of the Council of Europe. In this connection, the State Duma deputies declare that it is inexpedient to apply for confirming the credentials of the Russian delegation members in 2019," the lower house said in a statement.
