MOSCOW (UrduPoint News / Sputnik - 22nd October, 2018) Violations of the ceasefire regime by illegal armed groups continue to be registered in Syria's Idlib de-escalation zone, the Russian Defense Ministry's Center for Syrian Reconciliation said in a statement on Sunday.
"Despite the ceasefire regime being established throughout the country, there are still cases of ceasefire regime violation by illegal armed groups in Idlib de-escalation zone," the statement read.
The reconciliation center delivered 900 food baskets to Deir ez-Zor and Aleppo provinces, the statement noted.
Syria has been in a state of civil war since 2011, with the government forces fighting against numerous opposition groups and terrorist organizations. Russia along with Turkey and Iran are guarantors of the ceasefire regime in Syria.
