Russian, Myanmar Defense Officials Discuss Bilateral Cooperation - Ministry

Russian Deputy Defense Minister Col. Gen. Alexander Fomin held a meeting with Myanmar Armed Forces Commander-in-Chief Sen. Gen. Min Aung Hlaing in the Myanmar capital of Naypyidaw on Monday, during which they discussed the Russian-Myanmar bilateral military cooperation, the Russian Defense Ministry's press service said in a statement.

MOSCOW (UrduPoint News / Sputnik - 22nd October, 2018) Russian Deputy Defense Minister Col. Gen. Alexander Fomin held a meeting with Myanmar Armed Forces Commander-in-Chief Sen. Gen. Min Aung Hlaing in the Myanmar capital of Naypyidaw on Monday, during which they discussed the Russian-Myanmar bilateral military cooperation, the Russian Defense Ministry's press service said in a statement.

"During the talks, the sides discussed the pressing issues of the bilateral cooperation in the military sphere, and have voiced their commitment to further develop the multifaceted ties between the two countries' armed forces," the statement read.

According to the statement, during his visit to Myanmar, Fomin is set to visit a range of military facilities of the Myanmar Armed Forces.
