Russian Prime Minister Offers To Help Typhoon-Hit Vietnam

Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev on Monday offered assistance to Vietnam in the aftermath of the inundating rainfall and landslide caused by powerful Typhoon Toraji.
HANOI (UrduPoint News / Sputnik - 19th November, 2018) Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev on Monday offered assistance to Vietnam in the aftermath of the inundating rainfall and landslide caused by powerful Typhoon Toraji.
On Sunday, media reported that at least 12 people were killed due to floods and landslides in central Vietnam.
"If we can help you, we are at your disposal," Medvedev said during his talks with Vietnamese Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc in Hanoi.
He also expressed his sincere condolences in connection with the emergency situation in Vietnam.
In turn, the Vietnamese prime minister promised that Hanoi would create all favorable conditions to intensify bilateral cooperation.
Medvedev added that Russia and Vietnam had strategic partnership relations, while assessing the development of cooperation with Hanoi as good and sustainable.
