Russias Lower House Speaker Holds Meeting With Erdogan in Ankara - Delegation

Speaker of the Russian State Duma Vyacheslav Volodin met on Saturday with Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan after the sixth congress of the Turkish ruling Justice and Development Party (AKP) in Ankara, a State Duma delegation said.

ANKARA (UrduPoint News / Sputnik - 18th August, 2018) Speaker of the Russian State Duma Vyacheslav Volodin met on Saturday with Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan after the sixth congress of the Turkish ruling Justice and Development Party (AKP) in Ankara, a State Duma delegation said.

On Friday, the State Duma delegation, headed by Volodin, arrived in Turkey for a two-day working visit.

"The meeting [between Volodin and Erdogan] took place on Saturday after the end of the sixth congress of the Justice and Development Party," the delegation member told journalists without specifying the details of the meeting.

Earlier in the day, Volodin met with speaker of the Turkish parliament Binali Yildirim, as well as with Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu.
