Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Sergey Ryabkov at meetings with foreign diplomats on Friday stressed that US ultimatums in dispute over the Intermediate-Range Nuclear Forces Treaty (INF) were unacceptable while Washington's efforts to destroy the agreement could gravely undermine global security
"Ryabkov pointed out that the US claims against Russia are unfounded, while the US ultimatums, which are aimed at covering up its own violation of the Treaty ... are unacceptable," the Russian Foreign Ministry said in a statement.
"Attention was drawn to the fact that the US side rejected our proposal on mutual transparency to remove existing concerns. It was noted that Washington's destruction of one of the cornerstones of global stability is fraught with grave consequences for the entire global security system," the statement said.
