SEOUL,(APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 19th Feb, 2018 ) :Vice Foreign Minister Cho Hyun will have a lunch meeting this week with top trade negotiators from five central American countries when they visit Seoul to sign a free trade agreement, the foreign ministry said Monday.
Cho and chief trade officials from the member states of the Central American Integration System (SICA) -- Costa Rica, El Salvador, Nicaragua, Honduras and Panama -- will discuss trade and business cooperation and the North Korean nuclear problem during the meeting on Tuesday, the ministry said.
South Korea and the SICA plan to officially sign a free trade agreement on Wednesday that calls for the removal of import tariffs on more than 95 percent of goods. A tentative agreement was reached in March last year.
The ministry said that the officials will likely discuss the impact that the trade agreement could have on their economic and business relations and also exchange views on security issues including North Korea's nuclear threats and efforts to build peace on the Korean Peninsula.
