SEOUL, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 24th Apr, 2019 ) :South Korea's chief nuclear envoy held telephone talk with his Japanese counterpart on Wednesday and discussed pending issues, including North Korea's denuclearization and regional peace, Seoul's foreign ministry said.

Lee Do-hoon, special representative for Korean Peninsula peace and security affairs, discussed ways to make substantial progress in efforts to realize complete denuclearization of the Korean Peninsula and establish a lasting peace in the phone call with Kenji Kanasugi, head of the foreign ministry's Asian and Oceanian Affairs Bureau, the Seoul ministry said.

They also discussed the results of the latest summit earlier this month between South Korean President Moon Jae-in and U.S. President Donald Trump and agreed to work closely together going forward.
