Sanctions For Meddling In US Elections May Include Blocking Assets - Bolton

US President Donald Trump has signed an order that will allow federal agencies to respond to attempts to interfere in American elections by imposing sanctions, including blocking assets and restricting access to the US financial system, National Security Adviser John Bolton said in a conference call on Wednesday.
WASHINGTON (UrduPoint News / Sputnik - 12th September, 2018) US President Donald Trump has signed an order that will allow Federal agencies to respond to attempts to interfere in American elections by imposing sanctions, including blocking assets and restricting access to the US financial system, National Security Adviser John Bolton said in a conference call on Wednesday.
"You will see in the text of the Executive Order when it comes out, Section 2 is blocking assets," Bolton said. He added that other possible punitive measures will include "limiting access to American financial institutions."
