The second pilot of the Su-34 bomber involved in an accident in Russia's Far East has been discovered, his condition is satisfactory, the Russian Defense Ministry said in a statement Friday
MOSCOW (UrduPoint News / Sputnik - 18th January, 2019) The second pilot of the Su-34 bomber involved in an accident in Russia's Far East has been discovered, his condition is satisfactory, the Russian Defense Ministry said in a statement Friday.
The ministry earlier in the day said two Su-34s touched each other while performing training maneuvers in the Far East.
Both crews ejected. One of the pilots was later found on a rescue raft in the sea.
"The second pilot was discovered by Eastern Military District helicopters. The helicopter crew hovered over an individual life raft and the pilot was raised aboard the helicopter. The condition of the pilot is satisfactory," the statement said.
