MOSCOW (UrduPoint News / Sputnik - 03rd November, 2018) The second round of the Afghan settlement talks in the Moscow format at the level of deputy foreign ministers and special representatives will be held on November 9, the Russian Foreign Ministry said on Saturday.
"The second meeting of the Moscow format consultations on Afghanistan at the level of deputy foreign ministers and special representatives will take place on November 9 in Moscow," the ministry said in a statement.
The talks will be opened by Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov.
According to the ministry, Afghanistan, China, India, Iran, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Pakistan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan, and the United States have been invited to join.
Afghan President Ashraf Ghani has decided to send a delegation of the Afghan Supreme Peace Council to attend the talks, the ministry said.
"For the first time, a delegation of the political office of the Taliban movement in Doha will participate in an international meeting of this level. No final document is expected to be signed," the statement added.
