SEOUL, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 23rd Aug, 2017 ) : South Korea's biggest marketplace for content creators will open later this month in Seoul to vitalize the related industries and create a marketing venue for domestic and overseas buyers, organizers said Monday.

BroadCast WorldWide (BCWW), hosted by the Ministry of Culture, sports and Tourism, will kick off on Aug. 30 under the theme "Extend the Frontiers of Content" and runs until Sep. 1 at the Convention and Exhibition Center (COEX) in southern Seoul.

The country's major networks -- MBC, KBS and SBS -- and popular cable channels like JTBC will attend the 17th event, while some 200 foreign networks and content distributors such as tv Asahi and Stockholm-based Eccho Rights will come to check out the media trends in one of the world's most rapidly growing cultural powerhouses.

Guest speakers include Joe Broido, executive vice president of Thunderbird Films Inc. and producer for "Somewhere Between," the remake of Korean drama"God's Gift: 14 Days" aired in 2014. Also Korean-American actor, producer and director Daniel Dae Kim and producer/writer Laurence Andries will give lectures.

The BCWW started in 2001 to publicize high-quality entertainment content in the global entertainment market and seek ways to produce more chances for Korean creators to sell their products overseas.
