South Africa Hopes To Revitalize Military Sales To Russia At Army-2019 Forum - Minister

ADDIS ABABA (UrduPoint News / Sputnik - 10th February, 2019) South Africa hopes to attract buyers of its military technologies at the upcoming Russian Army-2019 defense industry forum, South African Minister of International Relations and Cooperation Lindiwe Sisulu told Sputnik on Sunday.

"We are hoping that we can sell some of the innovation that we have in our country to the Russians.

For a very long time we have been the recipients of Russian technology. We want to show them what we have and what we have developed and showcase it there and we are very happy when we were invited to take part in the exhibition," Sisulu said on the sidelines of the African Union's 32nd summit.

The defense industry forum will be held in the Moscow region on June 25-30. Over 1,500 defense industry enterprises are expected to take part in the event.
