South African Foreign Minister To Arrive In Russia On Official Visit On Tuesday

MOSCOW (UrduPoint News / Sputnik - 20th November, 2018) South African Minister of International Relations and Cooperation Lindiwe Sisulu will arrive for an official visit in Moscow on Tuesday.

During her three-day visit, Sisulu will hold talks with Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov and take part in the 15th meeting of the Russian-South African Intergovernmental Mixed Committee on Trade and Economic Cooperation as its co-chair.

According to the Russian Foreign Ministry's spokeswoman, Maria Zakharova, the two diplomats will discuss the state and prospects of bilateral strategic partnership with a focus on increasing cooperation in investment, science, technology, humanitarian issues and other areas. Zakharova added that the ministers were also going to compare positions on topical issues of the international agenda, taking into account the results of the BRICS summit and the election of South Africa as a non-permanent member of the UN Security Council.
