Sri Lanka Blasts Confirm World Community Needs To Join Efforts In Combating Terror- Moscow

MOSCOW (UrduPoint News / Sputnik - 21st April, 2019) Sunday's deadly explosions in Sri Lanka that claimed lives of dozens of people confirm that the world community needs to consolidate efforts in combating international terrorism, the Russian Foreign Ministry said in a statement.
Eight blasts took place in Sri Lanka on Sunday, hitting several churches and hotels in the country's capital of Colombo and other cities. According to media reports, the attacks claimed lives of at least 185 people, while almost 500 others were injured.
"The tragic events in Sri Lanka once again confirm the need to consolidate efforts of the international community in the fight against international terrorism," the statement said.
