Strong Magnitude 6.0 Quake Strikes Costa Rica - USGS

MOSCOW (UrduPoint News / Sputnik - 18th August, 2018) A strong 6.0-magnitude earthquake struck southern Costa Rica on Friday, the US Geological Survey (USGS) said.

The epicenter was 15 kilometers (9.3 miles) north of the port town of Golfito at the depth of slightly over 19 kilometers, the agency said.

There have been no immediate reports of casualties or damage. No tsunami warnings have been issued.
