Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova said Thursday that terrorists in Syria are continuing preparations for a staged provocation with the use of chemical weapons in Idlib province.
ST. PETERSBURG (UrduPoint News / Sputnik - 20th September, 2018) Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova said Thursday that terrorists in Syria are continuing preparations for a staged provocation with the use of chemical weapons in Idlib province.
Moscow has repeatedly warned that it has information about the preparation of a chemical weapons provocation in the province of Idlib to create an excuse for the West to attack Syria.
"Unfortunately, it is too early to assume that this scenario, supported by the West, has been abandoned. Information on the ongoing so-called 'chemical preparations' is being received - the Nusra Front [ terrorist group banned in Russia] is engaged in deliveries of chemical weapons to the allied illegal armed groups, and the sarin nerve agent has been delivered to the Idlib national hospital," Zakharova said at a weekly briefing.
