MOSCOW (UrduPoint News / Sputnik - 24th March, 2019) Three crew members of the Viking Sky ferry, which stalled on Saturday near the Norwegian shore, are Russian citizens, the Russian Embassy in Norway said.
Earlier in the day, Norwegian police said that the country's rescue services were carrying out a massive rescue operation evacuating 1,300 people from the Viking Sky cruise liner that lost steam near the western shore of Norway.
"According to the data of the Joint Rescue Coordination Center of Southern Norway (JRCC SN), the evacuation is underway (there are no Russian citizens among the passengers, threw crew members are Russian citizens). We are in contact with the JRCC SN over the possible aid needed for our compatriots," the embassy wrote on its Facebook page.
