WASHINGTON (UrduPoint News / Sputnik - 20th April, 2019) The conduct revealed in Special Counsel Robert Mueller's report is so serious that the US House of Representatives should immediate launch proceedings to impeach President Donald Trump, Senator Elizabeth Warren said in a statement.
"The severity of this misconduct demands that elected officials in both parties set aside political considerations and do their constitutional duty," Warren said via Twitter on Friday. "That means the House should initiate impeachment proceedings against the President of the United States."
Warren has been involved in a series of public clashes with Trump who has ridiculed her as the Native American princess "Pocahontas" because she claimed Native American ancestry to advance her career years ago.
The Mueller report, which was released on Thursday by the Justice Department, found no evidence of collusion between Trump and his campaign with Russia in the 2016 US presidential election campaign. However, Mueller described ten episodes that may constitute obstruction of justice by the US president. US Attorney General said on Thursday that the evidence provided in the Mueller report was insufficient to constitute an obstruction of justice offense.
