WASHINGTON (UrduPoint News / Sputnik - 22nd May, 2019) Former top White House aide John DeStefano confirmed in a statement on Tuesday that he has resigned from his position at the executive office.
"Beyond grateful to Donald Trump and the First Lady for the opportunity to serve in the best job I've ever had," DeStefano said via Twitter. "Will very much miss my fantastic colleagues, from WH staff to those in uniform.
Was the honor of a lifetime."
The US media outlet Axios reported earlier in the day that DeStefano officially resigned on Monday, though his last day will be on Friday.
DeStefano oversaw the Office of Presidential Personnel, the Office of Public Liaison, the Office of Political Affairs, and the Office of Intergovernmental Affairs, the report noted.
DeStefano will likely next work in the private sector, according to the report.
